I’m Sherice, and I’m creating this fundraiser for myself and my family as we work toward buying our first home. I am 46 years old, raising three kids, and doing everything I can to make this dream happen. For years, I have been declined for a mortgage because of income and credit challenges. Even now that I’ve been approved to move forward, the biggest hurdle is coming up with the down payment. This journey has not been easy. After losing my first husband when I first moved to Las Vegas, I faced financial setbacks that held me back for a long time. Today, I am remarried, still pushing forward, and still determined to create a stable home for my family.

I want people to know that I am not looking for a handout. I have been working hard, saving what I can, and even giving up personal belongings and furniture to help make this happen. I have also tried to access my 401k for the down payment, but that request was declined. How your support helps: every contribution will go directly toward the down payment for my first house.
