Update:
Black Farmers
VS
White Supremacists and Their Legacy of Stealing Black Farms
I bear witness that there is but one God and He has intervened in our affairs and has raised from among us His Christ, and Messiah, and with His Help there is nothing that we cannot achieve.
The following is an update being given during the week of December 1, 2025, regarding our farm, known as Muhammad Family Farm, located in Southampton County, Virginia, as it relates to the latest attempt by those white supremacists and their recent attempt to steal our farm in March of 2025.
This update includes an expression of gratitude, milestones achieved, the current issue, requirements to resolve the problem, and next steps.
Expression of Gratitude:
On behalf of my family and I, we would like to express our deepest, sincere thanks and gratitude first to God, and then to all of you who were inspired to support us in our fight against this four-hundred-and-seventy-year-old enemy of Black Farmers here in America. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
Milestones achieved:
To date, we have pumped most of the water out of both buildings, removed wet litter, and allowed the buildings time to dry out. Then we added about 42 tons of clay on the inside and about 6 tons on the outside of the buildings. We had to wait for a good amount of rain to fall, check for leakage, and then compact all the areas that we could. During compaction, there were areas we could not compact because the clay was too moist. In one of the houses, the area is about 200 feet x 15 feet, and in the other house, the area is about 75 feet x 10 feet.
Current Issue:
We now have to purchase tons of cement to mix with agricultural lime to thicken the clay that is too moist.
Requirements to resolve the problem:
The final step would be to mix the cement and agricultural lime with the moist clay, then compact those areas, and our work would be complete by the grace of God.
Next steps:
Our next step is to re-establish “The Farm Store”, which was closed down during the pandemic. This would help us to generate revenue independent of the chicken houses, grow our own food to produce products that will help to sustain our farm, help other Black farmers sustain their farms, provide better quality food to the community, and create jobs, helping to make our community safe and decent.
