Shelly, my mother, has always been a source of strength and love for our family. On January 30th, 2026, she was suddenly admitted to the hospital with toxic shock, sepsis, and sclerosis of the liver. The severity of her condition left her comatose for nearly two weeks in the ICU and Urgent Care Unit. It was a frightening and uncertain time for all of us, but Shelly’s resilience and the dedication of her medical team helped her begin the long road to recovery.
While Shelly was still in the hospital, our family faced another devastating blow. Despite her children providing half of the owed rent, her landlord chose to proceed with an eviction. None of us were on the lease or even in the state at the time of her emergency, making it impossible to intervene further. Now, as Shelly continues her rehabilitation, she is facing the challenge of having no place to return to once she is discharged.
We are raising funds to help Shelly secure a new apartment, cover ongoing medical expenses, and manage the costs of moving. Your support will give her the stability and peace of mind she needs to focus on healing. Any and all prayers and/or donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering helping our family during this difficult time.
