Hello, my name is Leila, and I’m raising funds for my sister, Sheila Barse.

About a month ago, Sheila’s furnace exploded, leaving her home badly damaged and unlivable. In an instant, she lost the place that held her memories, her comfort, and her sense of safety. For the past 30 days, she’s been living at a hotel, trying to figure out how to rebuild her life and her home — but it’s been an uphill battle.

Sheila lives in a rural area, and housing options nearby are limited. Unfortunately, she doesn’t qualify for any assistance programs, so she’s had to shoulder everything on her own. Despite these challenges, she continues to stay strong for her family. Sheila has three children and four grandchildren — one she’s raising herself — and she often helps care for the others whenever she can.

She’s the kind of person who gives what little she has to make sure her loved ones are okay. Now, she’s the one who needs a little help.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help Sheila repair her home, replace what was lost, and make it safe again. Every dollar will go toward rebuilding and giving her a chance to move back into the place she calls home.
