Help Sheikh Ahmad Momoh Rescue His Village

AsSalaamu Alaykum

I am Sheikh Ahmad Momoh of the House of Du’a. I appeal to you to help me save my village, my place of birth, and the place I truly call my home. My village is about to be totally cut off from the rest of humanity. Like most of you, I was born and raised in the village. The village where I was born and raised is called Ihenlame in Jagbe Clan in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State of Nigeria. Now, I live and enjoy the pleasures of the advanced world while my village remains without the good amenities of life such as pure water source, electricity supply, healthcare facility, and paved road.

As if these are not enough, my village is at the verge of being cut off from the rest of humanity due to flood and erosion. The video and pictures included tell part of the story. This is a video of one of the two gullies which are about to cut off the only roadway that connects my village to the rest of the world. Sadly, my village, like others, is a victim of government neglect. Although I love my village and wish I could help, I have a very limited personal capacity. That’s why I appeal to you to join me to raise $5,000 to save my village.

I have strong and undying memory of all that my village did for me, growing up: the love, the moral training, and the foundation for who I am today. Ihenlame village is the place where I was born and where my umbilical cord was deposited; the village where I began growing my teeth, where I learned to walk; and where I learned the Qur’an and began my quest for Islamic and Western Education. It is the village where I joined my peers in the fun of moonlight plays at night and the run around at daytime. How can I forget my beloved village and my home? And as the first child of my village to earn a college degree, I truly love to give back to my village.
