I am Ameriah, founder of SHE: Sovereign Her Emergence, a creative project dedicated to supporting women who need safe housing and resources. Since June 2020, I have been working to help women who are often overlooked—especially those without children, who are unable to access shelters when they need them most. Many women are left vulnerable, sleeping outside, and facing exploitation and abuse. My own experience inspired me to create a program that offers practical help and hope.
SHE provides baked goods for donation, and we plan to raise funds through jewelry, clothing, and artwork sales at public events. The funds raised will help cover legal licenses to organize the nonprofit, supplies for creative projects, transportation, housing, and product purchases for fundraising. This initiative also supports women released from jail, those needing an address for probation or safe harbor services, and mothers seeking reunification with their children after crisis situations. We offer toiletries, relocation opportunities, and a safe place to gain self-sufficiency.
There are women who don’t feel safe when shelters are limited. Some have no family or friends here, and most just need a way home. Your support can help them find safety and hope. Thank you for believing in this mission and helping us build a caring community.
