Hi, I'm Shauntá but my family call me Shawn. Recently, I was involved in a kitchen grease fire that left me with 2nd degree burns to my right hand and partial forear. My kids and fur baby (dog) were unharmed, and I was able to get them out of the house safely. Now I'm in a dilemma where we're unable to live in the house due to the damage and have to find other accommodations for at least 4 to 5 months once the kitchen is repaired.

The reason why I decided to create this GoFundMe is to raise funds to help me and my family get a good start to getting a place to stay while the house is being repaired. I don't normally ask in this fashion, but now my option is to ask strangers in my time of need.

In reality, most of us wouldn't think we would even be in this type of situation until out of the blue it happens. My kids, fur baby, and I thank you so much for contributing, love & support doing this time, and even taking the time to read my story.
