New Diagnosis Shawn Needs Our Help!

06/17/2024- *UPDATE*

Since our last update Shawn has been on constant oxygen and his heart walls have thickened due to his body trying to keep oxygen in his bloodstream. He has also developed sleep apnea, and his sleep study showed that he stopped breathing 66 times an hour. This has cause more issues with seizures and hypoxia, so sometimes he doesn’t know where he is when he wakes up. He is in the process of getting everything he needs medically, but all of these things have made day to day life much harder. Shawn has been able to find a few odd jobs over the past few months he can do from home, but he is at a point where he and his kids need your help.

10/16/2023 - Today we learned this is going to be a 12 week recovery and Shawn will need oxygen at home during this time. He is still in the hospital but we are hopeful he will be set up to return home by the end of this week. Please keep all of the positive vibes and prayers coming

Hello, my name is Megan. My cousin Shawn was hospitalized with an atypical pneumonia on October 14th. He has spent the past few days undergoing tests and receiving different medications to try and fight this.

He is making some progress but still requires oxygen at all times, so please keep the prayers and positive vibes coming.

Prior to his hospitalization Shawn just moved at the beginning of October to a new home to give his two boys more room and a backyard to play and make memories. While searching for a new job he has been door dashing 6-7 days a week to make sure rent is paid and his boys have everything they need.

Friends and family have reached out to ask how they can help. With being out of work the past few days and into the next few weeks, any donations will assist with expenses as he tries to regain his health and are greatly appreciated.
