Hello everyone! My name is Shawn, and I’m reaching out as my wife, Azalea, and I prepare for the birth of our first child together. Our baby boy is due in mid-April, but since he’s already getting quite active and "dropping," we’re expecting his arrival any day now!

Currently, I am a full-time Respiratory Therapy student. Pursuing this career is an investment in our family’s future, but it has required me to move to part-time work. Because of my part-time status, I am ineligible for paternity leave benefits. I am aiming to raise $3,500 to serve as a modest "paternity leave fund." These funds will allow me to take 2–3 weeks off to support Azalea’s recovery and bond with our newborn while still covering our basic living expenses.
