Shane was in a side by side accident while visiting Colorado on a work trip. Both of his feet are broken leaving him with a long, expensive journey ahead. One foot is fractured with severe bruising and swelling. The foot with the more intense injuries is dislocated, broken and was infected from the side by side landing on top of him. He had one emergency surgery the day of the accident and has to wait 2 weeks before the bigger, more intense surgery. They've said he probably will not be able to walk for 6 months, and nothing fun for even longer . This injury will leave him unable to work for a very long time as well. On top of this he is missing out on a very important trip to Japan with his family. Shane is taking a huge mental and emotional hit from this accident but on top of that the medical bills are already piling up on him. The emergency room and first surgery were already over $40,000. Some places are willing to set up payment plans for him but other appointments have to be paid out of pocket in the moment. He is looking into financial assistance programs, which should help a little bit but is not guaranteed.
