My name is Shandell (Dell).  I am a teacher and a mother of a 7 year old boy who needs help starting over after almost all of our belongings were stolen from our storage unit.

My 7 year old son and I recently got our own place to live and were so excited to move our belongings out of storage and start this new chapter.  However, when I arrived at the storage unit, I was devastated to find our property had been ransacked and all of my and my son’s clothing, shoes, etc. were stolen! They stole ~$5,000 worth of our clothes, my camera, tables, etc.  They even took my underwear.  They stole almost everything aside from my bedroom and living room set.  They even stole memories of me and my son that I will never be able to recover.  

Below is what my storage unit looked like when I arrived.  Terrible. I have no words for how violating and upsetting this is to have things stolen not only from me, but also my son.  I am trying to get answers from the storage company and working with the police, but am hoping for support now as any possible recourse will likely take time, if it ever comes.

My son is a size 10/12 in clothes and a size 2 in shoes.   I really appreciate any support as we work to rebuild.  Thank you so much.

THIS IS HOW THEY LEFT MY STORAGE UNIT AFTER GOING THROUGH EVERYTHING, ONLY LEAVING MY BED SET & LIVING ROOM SET!!! I NEED HELP STARTING OVER
