My name is Shaker Mohammad Safi. I am 17 years old, and I am writing this with a heart full of pain and loss that no child should ever carry.
I come from a small family. I have one brother who is sick and in constant need of medical care, and two sisters who look to me for safety and support.
Our lives changed forever when my father was killed because of the war. With his death, I lost not only a father, but also our only source of protection and stability.
Since the war began, we have been displaced more than 10 times. Each time, we were forced to leave behind our home, our memories, and any sense of safety. We never knew where we would sleep next or if we would survive another day.
As if this was not enough, I was later diagnosed with viral hepatitis, and my health has been getting worse. I am only 17, yet my body is exhausted, and my family cannot afford the treatment I urgently need.
I carry the responsibility of my family on my shoulders while I am still a child myself. We struggl
