My name is Shakeir, and I currently live in Montego Bay, Jamaica. My immediate family — including my mother, my children, and my grandparents — all live in Westmoreland, one of the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Melissa. Their homes were severely damaged: the roof was completely torn off, the house flooded, and both of our vehicles were badly affected.
It’s been heartbreaking to see my loved ones go through this loss. I’m doing everything I can to support them, but the damage is far beyond what I can manage alone. That’s why I’ve created this fundraiser — to help my family rebuild and recover.
I’m hoping to raise $2,000 USD to repair the roof, replace essential items that were destroyed, and help restore the vehicles that are so important for daily life. A portion of the funds will also be used to assist nearby neighbors in Westmoreland who are still struggling to get back on their feet.
Every donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward rebuilding and bringing hope back to my family and our community. If you can’t donate, please share this campaign so it can reach others who might be able to help.
Thank you so much for your compassion, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
