My name is Shahid, and I am 72 years old. Until recently, my sailboat was not just my home, but also my livelihood. Everything I owned and depended on was on board. When I lost my boat, I lost my shelter, my belongings, my computer, and the means I used to earn a living.

Starting over at this stage of life is not easy. I have always valued my independence and worked hard to provide for myself, but now I am facing the challenge of rebuilding from nothing. My most urgent need is to secure a safe place to live, including first month’s rent and a deposit, along with basic necessities. Having a stable place to call home will give me the foundation I need to regain my footing and begin to move forward.
