Hello everyone, many of you know me, my name is Sequoia and I am on track to giving birth very soon. I have been in Oahu since last Thursday, paid for by my medical insurance, in order to have a natural birth, rather than be forced into a repeat c-section in my home island/town.

I have currently been away from my 2-year-old son, Tlāloc, for 8 days now and it has been the most gut wrenching 8 days of my life- making my emotional state really fragile.

I have made a difficult decision to be induced tomorrow, due to wanting to be back with my son and not having to be away from him another week. I just know my body is not ready for labor and I feel I am rushing myself just to get home.

I really would like to wait to naturally go into labor and have been advised to fly my son out here with us, in order to lower my stress and have a safer birth that is not forced. My husband and I are really low on funds to make it through this next week, let alone buying a flight for my son to be out here with us, and we have reached a difficult point in our journey… I am creating this go fund me to ask that anyone in the position to help donate, would help us. We need to pay for a flight for our son, and figure out how we will get him, whether that is having an aunt fly out with him, or have my husband go back to big Island to bring him here.

We are also asking for help with food expenses while we are here, there has not been a kitchen to prepare meals in, so we have dipped into all of the money we had and are just praying for a miracle at this point.

I know things have been difficult financially for many during this time, so I don’t want anyone to give if they are unable to. If you are, it would help us immensely and allow me to wait until my body is ready to birth and help us from maxing out all of our credit cards.

We are also asking for prayers - for a healthy labor, healthy mom, healthy baby and just for our family to be reunited in the best circumstances. Thank you all for taking the time to read and anything donated is appreciated from the bottom of our hearts.
