My friend is a retired senior citizen who recently lost her apartment and all of her belongings in a devastating fire on 17th Street in Philadelphia. The fire started when a tenant above her was smoking on the roof and tossed their cigarette, which landed right above her apartment. In a matter of moments, everything she owned was gone, and she was left without a home or any of her possessions.

This has been an incredibly difficult time for her, as she now faces the challenge of rebuilding her life from scratch. She needs to find a new apartment, replace her clothing and essentials, and furnish her new home. The loss has been overwhelming, but with the support of our community, I know we can help her get back on her feet.
