We write to you today with a humble request that weighs heavily on our hearts. Sadikyshya Tamang, an international student who embarked upon her studies in the United Kingdom, faced considerable financial hardship, burdened by a debt exceeding 20 lakh rupees. Despite the numerous challenges encountered by international students, she displayed remarkable resilience and dedication to her studies. In May 2023, she tragically suffered from pneumonia, and during her treatment, she sadly passed away at Milton Hospital, at the age of 21, after only five months in the UK.
Unfortunately, Sadikyshya's family is unable to travel to the UK to bid their daughter a final farewell. Their utmost wish is to bring her body back to Nepal, where they can honor her memory through their cultural rituals. We humbly ask for your assistance in making this possible as we rally together to support her grieving family. Your aid will directly contribute to covering the funeral expenses and offering solace to her parents.
Please keep Sadikyshya's family in your thoughts and consider extending your support. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in their lives.

About the organisation:
Nepal Scotland Association is a registered charity in Scotland CHARITY SC035084, since 2004 where we have supported various community projects throughout the years.
Campaign Information:
We extend our deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support we have received thus far in our mission to repatriate Sadikyshya's body back to Nepal. The tragic news of Sadikyshya's passing has deeply saddened our community, prompting numerous members to approach the Nepal Scotland Association (NSA) with a heartfelt request for assistance.
In response, a crucial emergency meeting was convened on Friday, 12th May 2022, under the leadership of NSA President, Mr. Vijay Dongol. During this meeting, Mr. Manish Khatri, NSA Secretary, proposed the campaign, which was unanimously endorsed by the entire committee. Mr. Khatri was subsequently appointed as coordinator for this campaign where he was instructed to set a gofundme page under NSA charity and oversee all communication efforts. The campaign was launched that very night.
On Sunday, 14th May 2022, Mr. Manish Khatri and a select group of representatives travelled to another city Glasgow, to meet a member from Sadikshya's family.
Urgency remains paramount as we work diligently to expedite the transfer of funds to support them during this challenging time. We maintain direct and regular contact with the family, ensuring that the entirety of the fund will be transferred to them.
We appeal to the kindness and generosity of compassionate individuals to continue donating generously, enabling us to promptly fulfill the heartfelt wish of bringing Sadikyshya's body back to Nepal. This sacred act will allow her family to honor her memory through the observance of cherished cultural rituals, providing them with solace and closure in their time of grief.
Please contribute to this campaign and help us amplify its impact by sharing it widely:
Every contribution, regardless of its size, holds immense significance and will make a profound difference in the lives of Sadikyshya's family.
We express our deepest appreciation for your unwavering support.
Sincerely,
Nepal Scotland Association
