Help Send Good Shepherd Youth to Serve in Asheville
Donation protected
This summer, we’re sending a team of 11 students to Asheville, NC for a week of immersive service and learning through Youth Mission Co. The total cost is $14,250, and we’re asking for your help to raise $10,000 so that everyone who wants to attend can join us, regardless of resources.
We believe there is no better way to teach young people about the power of generosity than to allow them to experience the joy of giving their time and energy to others. During this week our students will be:
• Assisting with hurricane relief efforts
• Serving meals to the unhoused
• Working in urban farms and gardens that fight food insecurity
• Exploring how gentrification has reshaped Asheville’s economy and community
Throughout the week, they’ll be partnering with Youth Mission Co, an organization where mission, creativity, and transformation come alive for young people. YMC understands mission as God's call to seek justice, love kindness, and walk humbly. They use creativity to connect youth with the Spirit in fresh ways and invite deep, lasting transformation by opening hearts to new perspectives.
This trip isn’t just about service—it’s about seeing the world differently, growing in compassion, and living out Good Shepherd’s core values of Generosity and Missional engagement.
We want our kids to know: their community stands behind them. Your gift makes that possible.
Thank you for helping make this journey happen.
