Gavin is such an amazing young man! I am blessed to call him my son. He is so caring, responsible, smart and kind. This young man has been through so much in his short life. Gavin has a condition called Legg Calve Perthes Disease. He has had 3 surgeries on his left hip, along with weeks of both legs being casted, months of wearing a body brace along with countless hours in a wheelchair. Gavin has pushed through all this pain and struggles with no complaints. Gavin is now doing amazing! He is able to play football and wrestle. Even though he is not the fastest or even the strongest on his teams he has the drive, determination and heart greater than anyone I have seen. He often comes off the field in pain often but goes right back out there to push even harder. The reason we are asking for your help today is help send Gavin to Perthes camp in Texas. This camp is an incredible opportunity for Gavin to meet other kids that have been through the same struggles he has already been through and he can show them what the other side can look like. Gavin has the heart of gold and I know he would be an amazing role model for some of these kids. Gavin was set to go to this camp a few years ago in California but since COVID hit the camp has been cancelled until this year. I will be traveling with Gavin and since this camp is just outside of Dallas we will make plans to finally have a recheck with his surgeon as well. We hope to be able to catch up with our Dallas friends as well. Thank you for continued support of Gavin!
