Who are we: We are a group of friends located in Santa Barbara, California. We have family that are living in Hungary, very close to the Ukrainian border. They have the willingness to assist Ukrainians fleeing the war, however, they need monetary assistance to do so.

 

Why money and not items: Refugees need assistance now, and the quickest way we can provide help is by sending money to help purchase the assistance they need (i.e. shelter, food, clothing, access to communication, and travel)

 

Where in Hungary is your family located: Our family lives in a town located in the North-Eastern part of Hungary, about an hour away from the Ukrainian border. They are experiencing an influx of Ukrainians that need help crossing the border in search of safety.

 

What is your goal: We would like to raise money to send directly to Hungary and help support any refugees in need. Please help us help them! No amount is too small.

 

What will you do with the money we send: Our family in Hungary are working with the local government to determine what is needed. Once that is identified, our family members will use the funds collected here to purchase the aid that is required directly from the source. We would like ( as much as possible ) to avoid giving organisations funding for their own profit. Currently, there is a need for transportation, shelter and food. As the situation remains fluid, these requirements will change, and we will try our best to keep everyone up to date with the progress
