Hi,

My name is Freya and I am fundraising for an expedition to Costa Rica in July 2026 for 4 weeks with Camp International. I will be volunteering on a number of meaningful and sustainable community, wildlife and environmental projects.

This is not a holiday. It is an opportunity to make a real difference. Projects are in line with UN sustainable development goals. Camp International employ and train local people from communities where I will be based. They ensure local people are involved in decision making. Projects will include building and renovating communal structures such as classrooms and medical facilities. I will also be involved in the protection of sea turtles and their ecosystems.

The expedition is not cheap and I am having to finance it myself through various means. I will be working part time in a local supermarket alongside college and also need to do fundraising.
