Help Send Fishing Equipment to Villages in The Gambia
For over 15 years, my friend Angkela Hart has been traveling to The Gambia, dedicating her time and energy to helping families living in some of the most rural areas. These incredible communities face daily challenges that many of us can hardly imagine. Most families live in small huts with no electricity or running water. Their only access to clean water is through a single pump in the middle of the village, installed by the government.
The children in these villages—such as Badibu Village and Nydfelleh Village—walk up to 10 miles each way to school under the blazing sun, determined to learn and build a brighter future.
I am working on a new project to provide fishing equipment to these villages. By giving the people of The Gambia the tools they need to catch their own fish, we can help them support their families, feed their communities, and create a sustainable source of food and income.
It will cost about £350 to send the fishing equipment out to The Gambia.
This initiative isn’t about handouts—it’s about empowerment. With the right equipment, the villagers will be able to build independence, strengthen their communities, and pass on vital skills to future generations.
Every donation, big or small, will make a huge difference. Together, we can give these families the means to thrive and provide a better life for their children.
Please consider supporting this project and sharing it with others who may want to help.
Let’s send fishing equipment to The Gambia and give these communities the gift of hope, independence, and a brighter future.
