About Merseyside SEND Support Network
We are the Merseyside SEND Support Network—a small, passionate team of volunteers dedicated to helping families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across Merseyside.
Our mission is simple but vital: to ensure no parent or carer feels alone when navigating the complex systems of EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans), social care, and medical support. We offer direct advocacy, advice, and emotional support to families who are often overwhelmed and under-supported. We also run regular coffee mornings to provide a safe, understanding space for parents and carers to connect, share, and recharge.
Right now, we are funding all of this ourselves—covering costs out of our own pockets and giving our time voluntarily. But the demand for our services is growing rapidly. Families need us, and we want to continue being there for them without having to turn anyone away.
We’re asking for your support to help us continue—and expand—this vital work. Your donation will go directly toward advocacy services, venue hire for support events, printing information resources, and eventually allowing us to pay for part-time staff to ensure we can keep up with demand.
Every penny truly makes a difference. Please help us continue being a lifeline for SEND families across Merseyside. Thank you so much for your support.
