Thanks again for all your support, we have paid and are awaiting the container. We hope to have it packed this weekend and should sail away on August 15th. 

Update 2024:

THANK YOU for all the donations so far. This money has enabled us to negotiate a great price on a shipping container. The deposit has been paid and it will be packed and leave in late March.

However we still need your generous donations coming to reach our goal, as we are trying to source new industrial washing machines and king single bed frames. These items are the last few household things needed for the new house.

In December 2023 we went over to spend time with the children and to see the progress of the new house. Is is nearly there, just a few spaces to be completed, like the outdoor laundry and the children's wardrobes.

The children were so excited to show us their bedrooms and the huge outdoor concrete area where they will finally be able to ride their bikes and scooters safely.

I was lucky enough to have my staff Karen and Bex come over with me and spend some time at Treasure House. One of the days they arranged to take the girls for a pamper day, getting their nails done with ice cream at the beach while I took the boys swimming.

The team and I spent every day with the children, helping with their chores, playing and just hanging out.

We are so passionate about this cause and being able to help set these children up for their future.

Treasure House Christian Children’s Home in Nadi, Fiji is an orphanage that provides a stable, loving and permanent home to children, from babies to young adults who have unfortunately been orphaned through tragic circumstances such as desertion, neglect, abuse, and poverty. In all there are 19 children, some of them with complex physical, behavioural, and emotional needs.

Treasure House receives very minimal support from the Fijian government and relies almost completely on the kind and generous support of sponsors. These sponsor commitments of services, donations and volunteering greatly assist in Treasure House being able to provide for the complex needs of these special children.

Carebound Solutions is proud to be a Treasure House sponsor and as such we are seeking your help with raising the cost of freighting a container of goods that we have collected over the last 12 months. These items consist of badly needed disability medical equipment, furniture, bedding, washing machine, clothes, and a variety of much needed items for daily living. At this present time a 20-foot container costs in the region of $12,000 to ship to Fiji.

We greatly appreciate any donations, no matter how small as each dollar gets us closer to being able to facilitate our contributions getting to these very deserving children and their carers.

100% of Funds will be used for the shipping container with the full approval of Ulamila Powel (Director of Treasure House).
