Hi!

My name is Alexis Avery (They/Them) and I was recently elected as one of Oregon's first ever Congressional District 6 delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, IL from August 19-22, 2024.

I wish I could express how proud I am to be representing the democrats of Oregon in this historic and monumental convention to help elect Vice-President Kamala Harris as President of the United States.

The Democratic National Convention and the Democratic Party of Oregon have worked hard to keep costs for the delegates under control, however, the expenses for attending this opportunity of a lifetime can still be difficult to pay.

I am asking your help to send me to the DNC in Chicago this year!

I am raising $3,800 to help pay for:

Airfare: $500

Delegation logistics fee: $200

Food and Required Events: $700

Lodging: $2,400

I am a disabled veteran and stay at home parent to my 12-year-old daughter. My wife works for a local medical clinic in admin. We live in Salem, OR with my wife's aging mother. We are your typical working-class family.

I am a member of the Democratic Party of Oregon's Stonewall (LGBT), Veterans, Latino, Jewish, Disability Justice, Womxn, and Native American Caucuses.
