Hi, my name is Elizabeth, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Selena, who is currently in the middle of an incredibly difficult custody battle. She is a devoted, loving mother who has always put her child’s well-being first, but now she’s fighting against lies, manipulation, and a system that often favors those with more financial resources.

Her ex-partner has a long history of abusive behavior and has made extremely poor choices as a parent — including leaving their child alone in a car and passing out drunk in a parking lot for 4 HOURS. Despite this, he’s using his financial advantage to drag her through an exhausting and expensive legal fight, forcing her to defend herself and prove what anyone who knows her already understands: she is a stable, responsible, and amazing mom.

Here’s what Selena wants you to know in her own words:

“I never imagined I’d have to fight so hard just to protect my child. Every decision I make is with his safety and happiness in mind. This battle has been draining — emotionally, mentally, and financially. I’ve spent everything I have to give my son the life he deserves, but now I can’t do this alone. I need help to keep fighting for him.”

Selena has already spent $3,000 on legal fees, but with their next court hearing scheduled for October, her attorney is requiring an additional $5,000 to properly prepare for trial and fight for her child’s safety. Without this help, she risks being outmaneuvered simply because she cannot afford the same legal firepower as her ex.
