On June 18th, the Seifert / Kendle Sievers family experienced a devastating house fire in Edina that destroyed their home and nearly all of their belongings. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely. The home was shared by three generations of family: Grandmother Terri; recently deceased Grandfather Phil; Rachel and Gary, parents of three young boys ages 7, almost 4, and 7 months. The fire resulted in the total loss of the home, both family vehicles, and almost everything they owned. Because of the boys’ severe allergies, very few belongings are expected to be salvageable or safely restored, adding another layer of difficulty to the already heartbreaking situation.
We are raising funds to help support the family’s immediate and long-term needs as they secure temporary housing, replace essential items, obtain transportation, care for the children, and begin the long process of rebuilding. Donations will help bridge gaps while insurance claims are processed and cover expenses that insurance may not fully address.
Any support—whether through donations, prayers, or sharing this page—means more than words can express. Thank you for helping surround this family with love during such an unimaginable time. Updates will be shared on this GoFundMe page over the coming days and weeks as the family gains a clearer understanding of the full scope of their needs. At this time, the family does not have an address for physical donations.
The family is endlessly grateful for everyone who has reached out and for the support they have received.
