Help Sedat Fight Stage 4 Cancer — Any Support Means the World

Hi My name is Tanya, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart and hope in my soul. My husband, Sedat (also known as Steve), was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma — a rare and aggressive liver cancer — on December 31, 2024.

He underwent a liver resection surgery on April 7th to remove the tumor. Initially, the oncologist said that chemotherapy was not necessary after the surgery. However, recent scans have shown that the cancer has spread to his lungs, and he is now facing stage 4 cancer. The oncologist has given him a prognosis of about 1 year with palative chemotherapy, or approximately 4 to 6 months without treatment. Sedat has been offered palliative chemotherapy to help manage the disease and improve his quality of life.

Sedat is a humble, kind, and hardworking man who has dedicated his life to providing for our family. He has always been there for us — a loving husband and a caring father to our two children, Gabriel (9) and Dahlia (8). He was made redundant from his job shortly after his diagnosis, which has added to our financial struggles during this already difficult time.

Our family is overwhelmed and deeply distressed. The mounting medical bills, combined with the loss of income, are causing us great stress as we worry about our children’s future and our ability to afford the care Sedat needs.

We would also love to make the most of the time we have left together. Some of the funds will be used to create lasting memories — simple day outings, special moments, and quality time as a family — because these moments are precious and help us cherish every second.

We are humbly asking for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly towards medical expenses, treatments, and helping us focus on making happy memories together. Your kindness and generosity would mean the world to us and give us hope as we navigate this difficult journey.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read our story and for any help you can provide. Please keep Sedat in your thoughts and prayers.

With gratitude,
Tanya, Sedat, Gabriel, and Dahlia
