Help Secure the Brightest Future for Ed’s Children

Dear friends, family and kind strangers,

My name is Krystal Martinez and I’m the mother of Ed’s two oldest children, Gideon (8) and Afini-Rae (4).

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I come to you today seeking support for Ed’s oldest children. He loved his kids, all four of them, fiercely. The bond he had with Gideon and then Afini was beautiful to see. They felt nothing but love with and from their Papa Bear. They loved Dad Days and looked forward to spending time with their little sisters, Faith and Grace.

The tragic car accident that claimed Ed’s life has been heartbreaking and devastating. The silver lining is that the kids were unharmed physically. They are in counseling to process what they witnessed when their father passed.

All contributions collected will go into a Trust Fund for the kids to ensure their futures are as bright as can be. This is a long, hard road for all who knew Ed, but especially for them. They understand their Papa Bear is now their newest guardian angel and they speak to him often throughout the day. There are random “I love you Dad” and “I miss you Papa” spoken wherever they feel the need to connect.

Ed loved these kids more than life itself, and in his last moments he protected the kids by taking the brunt of the accident, as he always stated he would in the event of an accident. The kids were removed from the car without a scratch nor a bruise.
