My name is Michelle. Mama of five amazing kids. Myself along with my husband Nick and our four “big kids” are the only family our sweet Sarah Mae has ever known.

In October 2017 at just two weeks old, our Sarah was removed from her biological parents for child neglect. She was left home, not fed, changed, held or loved for an entire day and into the night while what were supposed to be loving parents went out on a drunken binge. Her biological father is my ex-husband and father of my four oldest children, Sarah’s true biological siblings.

How beautiful that something so awful and negative could turn into almost seven years of pure love….

Since December 2017 Sarah Mae has been in my custody. Being raised with her siblings. She has the most wonderful life. A home with people who adore and love her. A life and home full of love, laughter, cuddles, fun, adventures and so much more.

I have never received assistance/support for Sarah.

Her biological mother has not seen her since she was removed from their home and sadly has been on the missing persons list since 2019.

My ex-husband has never contacted me to see her, he’s never asked about her or anything else.

It’s been almost seven years.

The state of Florida has, after all this time, decided to pursue child support. I’ve tried telling them I don’t want it due to the threats and harassment and drunken rage that comes with it but unfortunately it’s not up to me.

Because of this, my ex-husband has become very irate and is now fighting to take our sweet Sarah Mae from the only home and family she has ever known.

Anyone that knows me, knows that I am nothing without my children. They are literally my heart outside of my chest. My reason for simply being. I will and have always done anything and everything humanly possible to keep them safe, cared for and to let them know everyday just how loved they are, have always been and always will be.

This is the reason that I have decided to create this go fund me.

We have found an awesome attorney but the costs is just more than we can feasibly do while providing for our family.

The fees are upward of $20,000 for permanent custody and $40,000 for adoption.

We are desperately trying to raise as much as possible to help ensure that our Sarah Mae stays right where she belongs and that her world is not torn apart by the malicious acts of someone who only cares about trying to avoid responsibility.
