Help Secure Safety & Stability for Two Foster Sisters

Donation protected
Hi friends,
We want to give you an update on the journey we’ve been on for the past 18 months.
In October 2024, we watched two tiny little girls step out of a car in front of our home. It was our very first moment as foster parents, and we had no idea how completely these sisters would change our lives. We know now that they were carrying more weight than any kids their age should ever have to carry.
Today, those same sweet girls light up our whole world.
They run to us for big hugs every morning. They laugh out loud at silly jokes. They fight over who gets to cuddle with daddy during family movie time. They sleep through the night without waking up afraid. And for the first time in their little lives, they feel safe enough to just be kids.
We already had two boys when the girls arrived. What started as a temporary placement turned into something none of us saw coming — these sisters now have two big brothers who play with them, tease them, protect them, include them in everything, and love them like they’ve always belonged here. Our house is loud, messy, and beautifully full of life… and it finally feels like home to all four of them.
We have worked every day for a year and a half to build stability and protection for these girls. But now we suddenly find ourselves having to take on a fight to protect their future that we weren’t expecting. We are prepared to show up for them every day, but we are asking for help to shoulder the financial burden of this challenge.
The road to making their place in our family permanent has become a legal battle we didn’t expect to face alone. To give these girls the forever home they deserve — the one where they never have to wonder if they’re safe again — we have to cover attorney fees, court costs, and everything else required to make adoption official.
Every single dollar goes straight to that fight.
We’re not asking because we want attention. We’re asking because these two little girls have already been through more than enough. They’ve earned the right to grow up knowing they are wanted, protected, and finally home for good.
If you can give anything at all, it becomes part of the battle to keep them exactly where they belong. And if you can’t donate right now, would you please share this with one person who might?
Thank you for reading their story. From the bottom of our hearts, every prayer, every share, and every dollar means more than you know.
With gratitude,
Aaron and Amy Thornton
