I've found myself at a financial disadvantage in securing housing at college. I am 80% done with completing the journey to obtain a bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising at LIM College. One month away from completing an internship as a stylist for the company, The Style That Binds Us. I am constantly applying and interviewing to expand my career, experience, and credibility as a young, promising Black woman in the industry. To keep breaking the societal barriers in the industry, it requires attending my college courses, internship, part-time job, and interviews in person. Move-in day for returning students is this upcoming Sunday, August 31st. To secure housing for the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 academic year, it requires a deposit of $750 out of pocket at the time of application fulfillment; the rest is taken care of through student loans, scholarships, and grants.
