Help Secure Guardianship for Gary

As many of you know I've been absent from most social media lately. The reason, for me, is heartbreaking. As you know my sister - Amy -passed away on 3/28/24. Several days ago I learned my brother - Gary (Rusty) Field - was diagnosed with Dementia. He is in a mental health facility in Akron. He will need close supervision and will remain in a facility the rest of his life.

After much soul searching and agonizing over this I have made the decision to apply for guardianship to care for his needs....both medical and his assets - which are very limited. This is no small task and it could last for years.

I will need to retain an attorney and in addition to his fees I will have the cost of filing paperwork with the court. I live on a limited income and have my own health issues which doesn't leave me the funds to pay for this myself. My goal is to raise money for these costs so I can obtain guardianship and (hopefully) bring him back closer to Tipp.

This is a lifetime commitment for me and the decision hasn't been made easily or lightly. I can only say this past week has brought me many tears and heartache. Essentially I have lost both my sister and brother within a few months of each other.
