Our Story

For nearly 60 years, Ren Shin Kan has been a cornerstone of the martial arts and wellbeing community in Halesowen, serving families across Dudley and the wider United Kingdom. Founded in 1968, our dojo teaches traditional Aikido, Iaido and Qi-Gong, offering inclusive classes for all ages and abilities. We provide a safe, welcoming space where people build confidence, improve physical and mental wellbeing, and become part of something meaningful.

Why We Need Your Help

We currently rent our premises in Halesowen town centre, but without ownership, our long-term future is uncertain. Rising costs and the risk of relocation threaten not only our dojo, but also our contribution to the local high street.

We want to buy the building we operate from so we can secure a permanent home — protecting nearly six decades of heritage while continuing to invest in the town centre.
