Hi, my name is Seb, and I’m a transgender man on a journey to finally feel at peace in my own skin. I’m reaching out with both vulnerability and hope as I take a big step toward aligning my body with who I’ve always known myself to be.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve carried the weight of dysphoria,a constant disconnect between how I feel inside and what I see in the mirror. It’s not just about how I look, it’s about the way I carry myself in the world, the way I breathe, the way I show up in relationships, and the way I exist in public and private spaces.

Top surgery isn’t just a physical procedure for me, it’s the key to unlocking a life where I can feel safe, strong, and home in my body. It means no longer layering myself in oversized clothes to hide what hurts. It means no longer avoiding mirrors or skipping beach days. It means walking into a room and being able to hold my head high, no longer bracing myself for judgment, confusion, or misgendering.

More than anything, this surgery represents freedom. Mental freedom from the heaviness of dysphoria. Physical freedom to move through the world without pain or shame. And emotional freedom to fully embrace who I am without having to explain or hide.

As someone who’s spent years putting others first, in my work, my relationships, and my community, asking for help doesn’t come easy. But I know I can’t do this alone. The costs for top surgery, time off work for healing, and post-op care are significant, and any support, whether it’s financial or sharing this with someone who can help, means the absolute world to me.
