I am a very private person and never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask for help. For years, I have been a caregiver for my grandmother, balancing work and family responsibilities. On February 13, 2026, I lost my second job, and by March, I was evicted from my home after living there since 2017. Unable to keep up with rent, I found myself living in hotels or in my car with my two dogs. I had to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender my big dog and keep my small dog, who has been my companion through all of this.
I put all my belongings into two storage units, and now, all I have with me is what could fit in my car. Three weeks ago, my car was repossessed due to non-payment, and just recently, I received notice that my storage units will be auctioned on June 23 unless I can pay what I owe. I have submitted countless job applications to so many companies, but so far, I haven't had any luck. Despite everything, I am not giving up, but I am scared and unsure of what else I can do.
The funds raised will help me save my belongings from auction, hopefully secure a place to live again, and cover essentials for me and my dog. I feel like I'm begging strangers, but I honestly don't know what else to do. Any support would mean the world to me right now. Thank you for reading my story and considering a donation.
