Due to unforeseen circumstances, Scott Messinger, beloved community member and blacksmithing teacher, will be transitioning away from Past Lives – which, for the past two and half years, has been the source of his housing and work opportunities. In the interest of facilitating his next adventure, we are asking for your financial support as he pursues stable housing and a reliable workspace.

Scott would like to purchase a step van, which, new, costs $55,000. He’d like to convert said van into a mobile blacksmithing shop that could double as living quarters. This would enable Scott to live independently while also plying his trade, teaching classes in different locations, and recording online content.

In the meantime, Past Lives is seeking stable housing for Scott, perhaps through City Team or Hazelnut Grove. Further suggestions are welcomed if you’d like to contact Morlock at morlock (at) pastlives (dot) space.
