Help Scott Recover from His Stroke

Life has a way of changing in an instant, and right now we are facing a situation we never expected. I’m reaching out for support during a time that has been emotionally, physically, and financially overwhelming.

On Saturday, January 24th, 2026 just starting into the new year, Scott Smith was found lying down outside his home. A neighbor found him and called an ambulance. He was rushed to the hospital. Upon arriving at the hospital Scott was unable to speak, walk, or move the right side of his body. He suffered from a massive hemorrhagic stroke. Scott was taken immediately to have emergency brain surgery to stop the bleeding from the stroke. The neurosurgeon was able to stop the bleeding from the stroke. Scott made it through the surgery. He is now in critical condition in the ICU and on a ventilator. Scott has some function on the left side of his body, but he is still unable to move the right side of his body, communicate with us, or breathe on his own. There is a long road ahead of recovery for Scott. God created the brain to do amazing things. The brain has the ability to rewire new pathways by a process called neuroplasticity where the stroke impacted the left side of Scott’s brain. We are praying for a miracle and that this will be a testimony for Scott. That he is able to walk, talk, and regain all of his neurological function with a renewed strength. Scott has always been very strong all his life. We ask for prayers and support during this critical time of healing for Scott.

And as we navigate this challenge, the financial burden has grown beyond what we can manage alone. Funds raised will go directly toward medical expenses, housing, rehabilitation, recovery costs, and daily necessities. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help relieve some of the stress and allow Scott to focus on healing and moving forward.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page means just as much. Your kindness, prayers, faith, and support are deeply appreciated more than words can express.

Thank you for taking the time to read Scott’s story and for standing with us during this difficult chapter.

With gratitude,
