This is for my dad, Scott. It's been a rough almost two years. Last January, my brother collapsed unexpectedly at home. He was living with my parents and my dad found him. My dad spent ten minutes on the phone with 911 as they talked him through CPR compressions. My brother died before the ambulance arrived.

One month after the anniversary of his death, my mom was taken to the ER for emergency surgery for a perforated intestine. Minor complications kept her in the hospital for a month - then in and out of two more skilled nursing facilities before coming home in August.

She seemed to improve at home with Home Health coming to the house until she developed an infection two months later and ended back in the ER. Two weeks later she contacted pneumonia. Her body was too weak to fight the infection. She died on November 1st (my dad's birthday) surrounded by family.

My dad's all alone in the house where my brother died and where my mom spent some of her last moments. My husband and I would like him to be able to move closer to us and his grandkids. Anything you can give would be appreciated and, please, SHARE.
