Help Scarlets Family to be by her side

I’ve created this page to try and support the family of a 9 year old legend and her family through the most difficult time of their lives.
At the beginning of September I received a call from my sister from another mister Terri to tell me her beautiful innocent little girl had cancer. I have never felt my heart sink like that in 38 years on this planet.
Scarlet had been unwell for a couple of weeks, not really feeling herself and having little energy to do much. Her worried dad had been back and forth to the doctors with her until she started to complain her bones felt sore and bruising started to appear on her delicate skin. She was admitted to Alder Hey the same day and her devastated parents were given the news no parent should ever receive. It’s cancer.
After multiple tests, screens, operations, everything you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy being done to you're child Scarlet was diagnosed with Philadelphia Positive Acute Lymphatic Leukaemia.
Scarlet is 9 YEARS OLD!
Scarlet is now undergoing chemotherapy which was decided immediately and started with neither mum or dad having a second to take in what was happening to their baby girl. With 2 other children in the family to cover childcare and the extortionate cost of travel and expenses, and no option but to take leave from work, the last thing mum and dad need is to worry about the financial implications whilst they hold their daughters hand as she fights for her life.
It’s only been a few weeks and already Scarlet has endured pain, fear and anxiety no child should ever have to feel. With soaring temperatures sending her back to hospital and risks hanging over their heads, to Scarlet losing her beautiful long blonde hair rapidly, it’s every parent’s worst nightmare.
My aim is to try and relieve some of the financial burden so that Terri and Alex can focus on being the best support they could possibly be for their child.
Every little helps. And could make a difference to a child in ways you would only ever understand if you were unfortunate enough to be in this position. Please help me to help Scarlet to keep her parents by her side without worrying about the stress of day to day life carrying on in the background.
With everything she is going through she is still smiling because she has her mum and dad with her. Let’s keep it that way.
Look out for fundraising events coming soon… and reach out to get involved.
Thank you. From the bottom of my heart.
All proceeds will go towards the family being able to be together. Not one penny will go to waste. And WHEN Scarlet beats this, anything left will be donated to another family in the same position.
