Help save the SPYF Molendinar Community Centre!

We are fundraising to keep the SPYF Molendinar Community Centre open. The centre is a vital space for local young people, families, and community groups, and we want to ensure it can continue serving the community for years to come. We had 33,469 visits in 2025 to the centre, from people coming to use the café and gym, to children coming to dance, karate and gymnastics classes, to families hiring our hall for parties.

This community centre means a great deal to our community and to so many others across the north east of Glasgow. It provides a safe and welcoming environment where people of all ages can meet, learn, and feel supported. It is a place where people can come together to form friendships, build confidence and feel a true sense of belonging.

The centre also offers opportunities for people to learn new skills to help gain employment, volunteer within the community, take part in exercise activities, and access affordable meals in a welcoming environment. It is a vital part of life in Blackhill.

All funds raised will go towards essential running costs, including utilities, maintenance, staffing, and programme support. These contributions will help keep the centre’s doors open and ensure it can continue providing activities and support for those who rely on it.

If the funding situation improves, any remaining funds will be directed towards community activities and programmes.

Thank you so much for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, truly makes a difference.
