Help Save The Rose and Thistle in Haddenham!

Welcome to the GoFundMe campaign to save the Rose & Thistle Pub, an 18th Century Coaching Inn set in the heart of Haddenham, a growing village in Buckinghamshire. For centuries the Rose & Thistle has been a community cornerstone: a friendly pub, good restaurant and meeting spot for villagers and visitors alike.

The Rose and Thistle is now for sale and at risk of being sold to developers and converted to a residential property. This is our final chance to stop it from being last orders at this iconic village pub.

Led by the passionate Rose & Thistle Reborn Team and with the support of Zero Carbon Haddenham, this campaign aims to rescue the Rose & Thistle and see it reborn as a vibrant inclusive community hub; a place where everyone comes together to forge friendships over food and drink.

Together with the 300 local supporters who have signed up to far, we're committed to delivering a shared mission of establishing the Rose & Thistle as a community pub and to:

• create a family friendly social space for our village, where people of all ages feel at home

• ensure community ownership and involvement, so the community have a say in what kind of pub they want, and this pub remains vital to the village for generations to come.

• champion local produce and suppliers, supporting our region’s farmers, brewers and artisans.

Our priority right now is to raise the funds needed to develop a business plan, develop our website and database, cover necessary fees, and lay the groundwork for securing capital grants and developing a community share offer.
