Since 1920, Federated Charities (The Dressing Room) has been quietly serving the Ashland area. Every week, neighbors walk through our doors who simply need a little help. Everything we provide is completely free, thanks to the generosity of our community. But today, The Dressing Room is in danger of closing. Without additional support, this resource that so many families rely on may no longer be able to operate.

When someone comes to us in need, we don’t just hand them a bag and send them on their way. We listen. We help curate items they truly need. We help restore dignity during difficult moments. Many of the people we serve are families struggling to make ends meet, individuals preparing for job interviews, children who need school clothes or winter coats, and people relocating to our community and starting fresh. The Dressing Room exists because neighbors believe in helping neighbors.

Unfortunately, like many nonprofits, rising operational costs and reduced funding have put us in a position where we may have to close our doors if we cannot raise the support needed to continue.
