Hi!! My name is Audrey and I am currently a Senior in high school and a part of the Team Academy. We need your help to raise money for future backpacking trips and keep the program running!

What Team is:

Team is one of two academies at the public high school Archie Williams that offer a different approach to learning. Team is an outdoor education program that involves an experiential learning model combining backpacking, hiking, community service, internships, rock climbing, wilderness medicine, and many unique academic courses in a tight knit cohort style classroom environment. What makes Team extra special is that it is the ONLY public school program of its kind.

Friends of the Team Program is a not-profit that helps support Team so that we are able to go backpacking and keep the program going. At Archie Williams we doubled in size and need your help in order to keep future Teamies on the trail long into the future.

What Team Means to Me:

Team has given me and other students who struggle with the traditional classroom experience the opportunity of a different style of learning that is more hands-on, engaging, and the ability to learn both in and out of the classroom. From my desk in school to learning teamwork by working together to pass backpacks up short and dry waterfalls as well as wilderness medicine, and english on trail. Team builds students who are curious, ask questions, creative, and have the teamwork and skills they need for when they face the real world and enter the work force.

Program Facts + Our Work:

Our school district does not pay for any of our trips and the students and teachers who are part of the Team Academy work hard to fundraise all the money we need for our gear, the wilderness guides, transportation, permits, and everything else needed to keep the program running.

We couldn't do this without your support and hope to keep Team alive for many years to come. Please help SAVE our program and keep the curious and adventurous Team students backpacking so we can keep learning the knowledge the wild holds, laughing, and growing as people.
