Dear Friends,
I am truly sorry to have to request that you dig into your own pockets to help save the beautiful town of Surfside Beach, South Carolina from a hostel takeover of the town by what can only be described as a criminal type organization.
My name is Al Kelley. I am a retired police detective from NJ who retired into the south, like so many before me. I live on a pension and need everyone’s backing to assist me in ridding this area of bullies who have now stooped to physical vicious attacks on citizens and I am begging you to help me fight the injustice that is happening in our beautiful little beach town.
I am being falsely attacked by the ex mayor and his group of renegade developers and real estate moguls. I have been named in a law suit trying to stop me from ending their reign of terror and strong arm physical assaults, and threats!
I have taken up the fight to continue to face-off with them in the courts now, since the mayor has stifled the public from being able to speak at town meetings, and get answers, the battle must now go in front of a jury!
The lawsuit claims I, and I alone apparently have stopped a Bob Childs from seeking reelection as mayor to over develop the town with high rise buildings, and tourist attractions that will destroy Surfside Beach’s Family atmosphere.
The money will help me pay for the attorney’s fees which will in turn save our beach. They think that by silencing me, they will be able to resume with development that will flood the town during storms, put an absorbent amount of trash into the ocean, and make Surfside as built up as Myrtle Beach, with all the badness that accompanies that type of atmosphere. I fear for my families safety as well as mine, since they have actually beaten up a member of council who opposed them, to the point he actually died on the operating table twice. I am ready and willing to fight the fight to save our town! Please, please help me! Any amount will be extremely appreciated! I am just one man fighting a war against an army!
