Help Save Guadalupe Street Businesses in Santa Fe!
My name is Dr. Julie Grace, and together with my husband, Justin Ray, we proudly own Remix Audio Bar—a unique combination of coffee house, ramen bar, and DJ school.
By day, I practice as a Doctor of Naprapathic Medicine at Sol Wellness, a holistic health clinic I opened 10 years ago on Early Street.
Since 2017, Justin and I have organized SOL SUNDAYS, a free community wellness and arts festival held each summer in the Santa Fe Railyard Plaza. This event—largely self-funded—creates a sober, inclusive, health-focused space for all ages to enjoy music, connection, healing, and joy. Each year we raise awareness and donate proceeds to a nonprofit.
But this year, we’re turning our focus inward, toward our own neighborhood in crisis.
A Community in Trouble
The Guadalupe Street Construction Project, a $10.8 million city initiative that began in January 2024 (originally conceived in 2014), has brought chaos to over 50 small businesses along the corridor. What was expected to be an upgrade has become a nightmare for local business owners, with:
18+ months of ongoing construction (with completion hopefully in September 2025)
Limited to no access for customers due to unsafe or blocked sidewalks and roads
Multiple delays, poor communication, and little city transparency
Two high seasons lost for businesses hanging on by a thread
No confirmed financial assistance from the City of Santa Fe despite multiple pleas for help
Like many others, we have burned through our personal savings just trying to keep Remix open at our new Guadalupe Street location. We are not alone. Some businesses have already closed, and many more are considering it.
This campaign is our call to action.
Our Goal: Raise $100,000 (or more!)
We are launching this community GoFundMe campaign as part of SOL SUNDAYS 2025 to raise funds for the small businesses impacted along Guadalupe Street. With 50+ businesses affected, this is a modest goal—but even a few thousand dollars per business could mean rent, payroll, or survival.
How You Can Help:
DONATE — Any amount makes a difference.
SHARE — Spread this campaign far and wide: neighbors, visitors, customers, family.
SHOW UP — Visit businesses on Guadalupe Street, especially between Paseo de Peralta and West Alameda.
BUY A GIFT CARD — Can’t access them now? Support them for the future.
JOIN US — Attend SOL SUNDAYS on August 31, 2025, at the Santa Fe Railyard to show your support in person.
We believe in the future of this street. We believe in the heart and resilience of Santa Fe. But we can’t wait for the city—we have to take care of each other now.
Please help us keep the doors open, the lights on, and our neighborhood alive.
With love and gratitude,
