Help Save Rowan's Farm and Future

In 2013, my wife to be and I wanted a change from city life to one more connected with nature, and especially, a healthy, beautiful place to raise a child. We were lucky enough to find this lost gem of a property, and worked and planned ever since moving in to create a sustainable, thriving farm that could support a household in a variety of ways. We got married right here in the garden, and in May of 2018 Rowan was born and growing strong.

However, this beautiful dream was shockingly interrupted one day when Rowan was just 6 months old. One night while I slept, his mother, who had been increasingly anxious about the realities of farm life with an infant, decided to take him from his home without any warning or discussion, and moved 850 miles away- I woke up one morning to an empty house.

Ever since, I have been forced into a battle for his right to have his dad in his life, spending countless thousands on legal fees, and traveling over 1700 miles each month, just to spend a few precious hours with him.

Even with the limited time we have had together so far, Rowan and I have built a wonderful relationship that has kept me going, despite the incredible financial and emotional strain.

Miraculously, after 6 years of wrangling in the courts, I finally procured a plan that will provide increasing time with Rowan over the next couple of years. This plan includes monthly visits that are already costing me more than my mortgage.

This situation has also made regular employment virtually impossible, and has crippled my goal to turn 5 Leaf Farm into an income generating business in the form of a sustainable nature retreat, complete with vacation rental spaces, which will generate the financial freedom to be the father Rowan deserves, and also preserve this wondrous place to share with fellow nature lovers all over the world.

Despite the monumental challenges endured, I am very near to accomplishing this!

I just need enough revenue to complete the additional vacation rental spaces I have already begun building, while covering existing monthly costs.

However, after 6+ years of blood, sweat, and tears, and coming SO close to achieving this dream, the Winter has drained the last of my resources, and help from close family and friends has been exhausted.

I am at dire risk of having to give up on this dream up JUST before it finally becomes a reality, and losing all that I have fought so hard for. Foreclosure and bankruptcy are constantly looming.

Your donation will help me complete these projects so they can generate income on their own, and keep me afloat until Rowan can spend Summers down here (2026 onward)

Though it is difficult for me to ask for help, I just can't give up if there is any chance I can pull this off for Rowan. He deserves the chance to climb these hills and trees, explore the streams, and connect with the beauty of Nature I have worked so hard to preserve- both for us, and our community.
