This Soul Worthy business is the dream of Laurel Hickey, who has worked with individuals with special needs, her entire adult life. She currently works full time as the program director, for SSSS Launch https://soshoresupport.org/ an incredible Non Profit Organization “Launching” these amazing people in to all types of life changing events.
As long as I can remember, Laurel has had a vision, a wish, to create a travel business, catering to the needs of some of her best friends.
Razzle Dazzle was incorporated seven years ago, to fulfill a need of respites for families of adult children with disabilities, while providing a safe, fun, freeing travel experience for these incredible individuals. Laurel felt their desires to go out with their friends to a movie, museum, broadway show, or just typical things in the community-like their peers, siblings and everyone else-
Along with everyday events, Laurel also provides amazing vacations and tries to plans them around the individuals desires and dreams. She encourages independence and empowerment, helping build on life skills such as money and budgeting, patience and even personal hygiene skills, while away on these trips-yet still having a fun safe experience. 
Razzle Dazzle’s business plan is based on the true definition of respite. Once the caregiver drops their loved ones off to Laurel, they have the peace of mind knowing they are safe and are in for an amazing experience. I personally love hearing what the caregivers are planning to do with their “free”time, while we are away. 
We hear about trips they’ll take, or old friends they’ll visit, or just enjoying some well deserved rest in their own homes...Even something as simple as the fact that Laurel provides transportation back to their homes, at the end of each event- so their families can go out and enjoy themselves and they never have to worry about pick up at the end of the night/trip.
As we all know, Covid has been devastating to so many families. We have all watched and or heard about people loosing everything, and small businesses barely holding on. With out your help, Razzle Dazzle Special Travel will most likely be the next victim of fate...This amazing business was not started as the next best money making business-As it was, it was at best, breaking even...
Laurel is working full time, and using her nights, weekends and vacation time to see her dream and the dreams of her friends and their families come true. However, most of all the trips that were planned for 2020, had to be canceled or postponed-and all the deposits and airline tickets and fee’s etc...will not be returned to her
The travel industry has issued her credits, and therefore, she has had to issue credits to her clients as well. Along with this, the business’s liability insurance is astronomical. She could not cancel it, so she has been draining all of her own personal savings trying to keep up with all the cost, with no income coming in. She explained that if she is able to resume travel this year, she will hopefully be able to satisfy all the credits, and outstanding cost and debt, and will then have to close the doors for good.
Once she told me this, I knew we had to do something. Getting to chaperone these trips, and seeing the pure joy and growth of these individuals, I couldn’t imagine it coming to an end!! 
Any funds raised, will go to paying off all the debt accrued this past year, set up funds for ongoing events, off set the cost for all individuals and if possible, set up a scholarship fund for families who can’t afford to send their loved ones.
