Help save QP!

Quilombo Paixao (Key-LOAM-Bo   Pie-Shao), or QP for short, is an experiment in community guided by the principles of Permaculture and burner culture .  Since 2012 we have cultivated a heart-centered, family environment on a 5 acre farmstead in Cedar Creek, TX. When not tending the land, our selves, and each other, we produce educational and transformational events in support of the flow arts, performing/visual arts, and permaculture communities of Texas and beyond. We are committed to "leaving an awesome trace" through regenerative lifestyle practices, with an emphasis on artistic expression and learning by doing. Our signature event, Flowstorm, has been hosted since 2013, and regularly showcases performers from across the nation and around the world.

We've recently hit a snag in the form of a County notice informing us we need to install a second septic system or upgrade the one we have if we want to keep doing the things. Otherwise, it's goodbye most of the community to avoid fines and court. This would make quite an impact on what we can accomplish moving forward. They are not swayed by the fact that our existing system is properly maintained and up to code at our usage level, or that none of the RVs have wastewater service and dump their sewage properly at RV parks off-site when applicable.

We need to fix this ASAP to remain compliant with County code and so are putting out the call to our friends and family for assistance please!

We realize times are tight for everyone, but if you've ever enjoyed yourself at one of our events or potlucks, and happen to be in a position to help, we definitely need a show of support right about now, and deeply appreciate anything that can be given with thanks, love, and blessings.

If you haven't been to our events or had a visit but this sounds like the sort of thing you'd like to help keep happening, we welcome your support as well with thanks, love, and blessings!

Anything above the amount needed to solve the septic issue, would go to other critical upgrades. These include bringing electricity to the barn to make it a workshop, expanding our medicinal and functional perennial gardens, and building a mobile plastics recycling center which will convert household and festival waste streams into reusable resources.

We hope our very talented friends don't mind us showing off a couple of clips of the kind of thing we help make happen. Their appearance here should not be construed as endorsement of this campaign, we just pulled these off youtube as examples.
