The tyranny of a bad economy has left millions with no ability to defend themselves against ordinary and expensive events. For us, this event is a transmission failure in the vehicle that is used to make our income. While the economy is getting better, any defense fund, in fact any emergency fund at all, has been used up. Many people have far too little money left at the end of the month, and we are some of them.

This video is created to promote the campaign to save our van. As with many of us, the transportation unit of the house is directly attached to our productivity. Our van is used for my creating income with Uber as well as to transport wood supplies and wood projects that I make for anyone who need something. A few weeks ago the van began giving me some trouble backing up when the wheels were turned, then when they were straight, then when I reached the edge of a drive way against the bump. After a long trip to Hutto for family, and the trip home, the next day it sounded like I was dragging a branch under the van or like a traffic cone is stuck under the moving car. You know the sound, you have likely heard something similar before when something got snagged under your car. Well, there was nothing under the van but the visual impression of perfection. I had just gotten help from my Son In Law installing new running boards on the van to help older and heftier people get in and out of the van as Uber passengers. Then this happened.

Well, here we are, asking for help. The van is our transportation, my Uber money machine, the cargo truck of my woodshop, and the carrier of my grandkids to many places. It is more than a little important to us, as you can see, but if God is willing to let it go, we will manage to live with that as well. Still, we would greatly appreciate your assistance with this. And if someone sends this video to Elon, please let him know that I have a handful of car and van ideas that could make him another hundred billion and really mess with the auto industry - or he could just help with this, and that would be excellent as well.

Our ultimate goal is $5500, but the initial goal, preset for us by GFM is $1800. Please help us get to the first, and help us get more help from the rest of the world for the whole goal.
